- Researched stochastic wind speed modeling for power system dynamic studies, using SDE-based methods such as Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes, Weibull distributions, autocorrelation functions, and memoryless transformations.
- Wrote Python and MATLAB scripts to generate synthetic wind speed trajectories from real data by fitting Weibull parameters, estimating autocorrelation, and comparing real versus simulated behavior.
- Automated NOAA weather data collection with Python scripts.

- Contributed to the design and implementation of the rover's autonomy system on the state machines sub-team.
- Learned and applied ROS2 and Python to help refactor and migrate old code into the new system architecture.

Reimagining Healthcare in Ribeirão Preto
Following this year's theme of advancing equitable healthcare, my team (Kian Rafati, Varsan Jeyakkumar, and Ishraq Alam) focused on addressing healthcare supply and staffing shortages across 454 primary care clinics in remote regions of Brazil. In response to the infrastructure, logistical, and workforce challenges these clinics face, we developed a multi-step strategy designed to address the issue comprehensively. Our proposal included organizational restructuring through greater centralization, an AI-supported inventory management system, a high-speed drone delivery network, initiatives to reduce staffing shortages, and a community vaccine pilot project. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our solution, we supported our recommendations with implementation timelines presented through a Gantt chart, a proposed 10-year budget, and a cost-benefit analysis. Within just 9 hours, we completed a full consulting report and presented our recommendations to a panel of industry judges, where we defended our ideas and answered questions about our approach. The experience was both professionally and personally rewarding, and our team was recognized as a Top 8 Finalist in the competition.

Modular Storage System for Tech4All
Led a 5-person team to design a modular storage system for a refurbishment hub, evaluating over 200 concepts with decision matrices and FlexSim simulation to improve workflow, organization, and safety.

Accessible Route Design for High Park Nature Centre
Designed an accessible, environmentally conscious route concept for the High Park Nature Centre, narrowing down 281 ideas into a selected Floating Boardwalk solution using stakeholder analysis.
How Many Balloons to Lift the CN Tower
A calculus modelling essay inspired by the movie Up, using integration and Archimedes' principle to calculate how many balloons it would actually take to lift a house to the height of the CN Tower.

Minesweeper
A C# Windows Forms recreation of the classic Minesweeper, built with a small team. Includes three difficulty levels, flag placement, a timer, and sound effects.

Snake Game
A C# Windows Forms Snake game with both solo and two-player modes, adjustable speed, custom snake and apple colors, and a persistent high score saved between sessions.

Tortoise and Hare Game
A C# Windows Forms simulation of the tortoise-and-hare race, where randomized movement decides the winner. Includes a picture and draw mode, adjustable speed, custom names and colors, and win/loss statistics with pie and bar charts.
Reversi
A command-line Reversi (Othello) game written in C for APS105. Models the board, validates legal moves in all eight directions, flips captured tiles, handles skipped turns, and includes a computer move strategy based on tile gain, mobility, and corner control.
Fitness Tracker Data Analysis
Capstone project for the Google Data Analytics Certification. Analyzed a Fitbit fitness tracker dataset to uncover user habits and turned them into product insights for Bellabeat, a health tech company.
